Great location, less than a 5-minute walk to the free tram zone. Facilities are often cleaned. Lockers available. Spacious 16-bed dorm exceeded expectations. Events almost every night with free hot dogs and pasta twice a week, and pancakes on Sundays.
Felt cozy, no complaints whatsoever.

I had a great stay at Melbourne City Backpackers. The location was ideal, with a short walk to the train station and skybus. The free breakfast and Wednesday night pasta were delicious. I also appreciated being able to store my luggage for free. The staff at the desk were friendly and efficient.

Convenient location near transport hub, surrounded by cafes. Friendly staff, especially Lucy and Emilie. Comfy double private room on 4th floor with spacious closet. Good hot water pressure. Enjoyable stay with free breakfast and daily events to meet people.

The location of this backpackers is great, being fairly near the city center and close to public transport. It is very convenient if you need to get to the airport as it is very close to Southern Cross station. The staff at the desk were friendly and efficient, providing good service.
Some aspects of the cleanliness and maintenance were lacking, such as dirty bathrooms and a rundown appearance.

The staff were friendly and cute, making me feel comfortable. The location was convenient, with key attractions within walking distance and great access to public transportation. The free breakfast provided was a nice bonus and a good way to start the day.
The room I stayed in had a strong odor and could have been cleaner. The bathroom was also not well-maintained and in need of more regular cleaning.

We loved the excellent location close to the bus station and within walking distance to the main station. It was so convenient to have free transport links to shops and easy access to the Southern Cross Station, made catching the Skybus to the airport easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hostel facilities were spacious, with lockers available in the rooms. The kitchen was a decent size, with plenty of shelf space, fridge space, and utensils. The hotel was clean, the showers were amazing, and everything felt fresh.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in so many ways. the location was absolutely perfect - just a short walk from both Spencer Street Station and Southern Cross Station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The value for money was exceptional, with very affordable prices for a comfortable stay. The staff at this hotel were truly wonderful, providing excellent service and making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The basic amenities in the rooms were exactly what I needed, with clean and tidy spaces that included lockers for added security. And let's not forget the breakfast, which was included in the price and provided a great start to each day.
There was nothing that needed improvement - everything was just fine.
